Lidsong

Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 October 2026. Applies to the Lidsong app and the Lidsong App Clip.

The short version

Lidsong collects no data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The developer never receives anything you sing, make or send.

Your singing

When you tap Sing, Lidsong uses the microphone for up to 20 seconds. The recording is turned into notes on your iPhone and deleted as soon as the tune is pinned to the strip. It is never uploaded and never kept. Apple’s on-device sound and music analysis may look at the recording to check that it is a voice and to confirm the key; that also happens on your iPhone.

Your boxes and settings

The tunes you save, the box you last played, where its cylinder stopped and your settings are stored on your iPhone only. Your device backups may include them, as they include any app’s documents. Deleting Lidsong deletes them.

Gifts

A gift carries the notes of the tune, its title, and the words you type on the tag (a message and a name), inside the link or the .lidsong file. It never carries audio. Lidsong sends nothing itself: you choose who receives a gift and how, through the share sheet, and anyone who has the link can read the tag. The link points to Apple’s App Clip service, which opens it on the recipient’s iPhone. Lidsong runs no server and keeps no copy. A gift video is saved to Photos only when you choose Save Video.

Purchases

Lidsong Unlock is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; Lidsong only learns from your device whether the unlock is owned.

Children

Lidsong is not directed at children and is not in the Kids category. It collects nothing from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
